The Sisters of Mercy, North Sydney established the Mercy Foundation, in the spirit of their Foundress, Catherine McAuley, who responded to the needs of her times in a practical and generous way.

Our work is based on the principle that systemic change enables people to be equal participants in society. Our focus is on long term solutions for social change so that all people can be active citizens and have equal access to resources.

The Mercy Foundation has recently undergone review. A new CEO, Felicity Reynolds, was appointed in March 2008. The Foundation will continue to focus on disadvantage and social justice, with a particular emphasis on homelessness.

A new website is currently being developed and information about the work of the Mercy Foundation will be available soon. Please keep checking this page.
